Yinka Ilori’s bold colours have taken over the Design Museum of London where, until 25 June 2023, the first solo exhibition devoted to this British-Nigerian designer is now showing. Known for his daring use of bright colours and for an intimate and joyful return to his roots, Ilori has over the years developed his own personal interpretation of the African fabrics and everyday objects that populated his childhood.
His work is presented through 100 projects on different scales, including Canary Wharf’s first ever basketball court, in London, which has been specifically designed for the 3×3 style of play, where three on each side compete using just one basketball hoop.
