Elden Ring Official Art Books Now Available for Pre-Order

From Software’s seminal open-world RPG, Elden Ring, opens up pre-orders for the official hardcover artbook featuring some of its key concepts.

Elden Ring is due to get its long-awaited hardcover art book at last, according to the latest developments. Being one of From Software’s biggest hits, the game received immense critical acclaim and has been widely praised by the gaming community at large, and this is in no small part due to its impressive visual design.

Though it’s hardly a technical masterpiece, Elden Ring‘s The Lands Between and its striking terrain have ensured that the game stands out in virtually every way, and fans have been waiting for an official art book to celebrate these designs. The book itself has been a long time coming, then, with the game having launched early in 2022, but it is now bound to launch relatively quickly.

Namely, From Software has finally opened up pre-orders for both volumes of Elden Ring: Official Art Book, which are due to release on July 25. The first part of the duology explores the game’s opening movie, its open world, dungeons, and some NPCs and armor sets spread over 432 pages of artwork. Volume 2 is slightly shorter with 384 pages’ worth of content, focusing mainly on enemies, weaponry, and some of Elden Ring‘s most useful items. Each of the books costs $59.99, but pre-ordering them via Amazon will afford buyers a $6 discount.

Naturally, players that expect new Elden Ring content in 2023 might not be overly thrilled with hundreds of pages’ worth of artwork, but it’s all but certain that fans of From Software’s design and lore will have much to enjoy poring through the pages. It’s perhaps curious, though, that the second volume of the Elden Ring art book duology is available via storefronts other than Amazon. Specifically, it is now possible to pre-order the second volume via Blackwell’s, while the first volume is notably absent from the store.

Whatever the case may be, the fact that one of the biggest games of 2022 is due to finally receive a comprehensive art book will be celebrated by those who enjoy this type of thing, expensive as it may be for some. Getting both volumes will cost about $120 plus potential shipping costs and sales tax, depending on the buyer’s location, which is a pretty hefty investment all on its own.

Those who aren’t overly keen on official artwork don’t need to despair, though. There’s a whole slew of phenomenal Elden Ring fan art available for viewing at no cost whatsoever, and most fans will get plenty of enjoyment out of these works alone. Keeping that in mind, collectors are bound to jump at the opportunity to stock their shelves with two new pieces of official Elden Ring paraphernalia as soon as it’s out.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
